ADCA Sample Coolers SC32 and SC132
Overview: The ADCA Sample Coolers (models SC32 and SC132) are specifically designed to safely cool samples of boiler water or steam for analysis. These sample coolers are essential in preventing the dangerous release of steam from hot, pressurized liquid samples, ensuring accurate and safe sample collection for testing.
Operation:
The sample cooler operates by drawing a sample from the boiler or steam system into the cooling chamber. Cooling water circulates through the sample cooler’s body and coil, absorbing heat from the sample. This process cools the sample to a safe temperature, preventing steam from flashing off and ensuring accurate analysis. To ensure safety, the cooling water should be at maximum flow before opening or closing the sample inlet valve, and the sample coil must be fully submerged in water for optimal cooling.
Key Features:
- Corrosion-Resistant Construction: Both the body and internal components are made from durable, corrosion-resistant materials, ensuring long-lasting performance.
- Self-Draining Design: The top inlet and bottom outlet configuration ensures that the sample drains completely, reducing maintenance requirements.
- Double Coil Design: A high-pressure double coil design is available for larger capacities, enhancing performance in demanding applications.
Specifications:
- Options: Available with sample inlet valves, cooling water inlet valves, temperature indicators, and bolted covers for enhanced functionality.
- Use: Ideal for steam boilers and hot water systems, as well as other compatible sampling or cooling applications.
- Available Models: SC32/SS and SC132/SS, both featuring stainless steel bodies and coils.
